Since 2014- It has been my privilege to work with and collaborate with over 40 plus artist from throughout the country, who donate their time, talent, and resources to Capturing Lives Lost to Violence on Canvas.
This growing collection of over 200 portraitures has been dubbed as “Beautifully Heartbreaking,” The Black Girl Grieved Exhibit is a specialty exhibit that takes select pieces from this collection and couples them with narratives, photos and other mementos taken over the years of Rizpah’s, grieving mothers.
BGG Exhibit captures lost lives and tells a poignant story about the impact of trauma and grief. This exhibit not only educates on gun and other forms of violence, but is a catalyst for critical conversations around healing, hope, and recovery for families and communities; already overshadowed with grief.
My experience growth is the best thing that I have done for myself. When I began my therapy sessions, I was depressed, broken, angry, hurt and in a dark place. I have been in therapy for a year and 1 month and refuse to stop until I know that I am 💯 ready to stop. I didn't love myself and I came wanting to be loved so bad after I lost someone that I truly loved. Therapy not only helped me with healing but it taught me a lot about myself and what I needed to do to better myself, love myself and self-control. I'm not perfect but I'm not were I was when I started my 1st session on January 7, 2022. I recommend therapy sessions from Ms. Williams because she came in the session with open arms, open heart and listened. She helped me to understand to stop blaming myself and being hard on myself and take accountability only for what I have done. She also cried with me and understanding of how I was feeling. But she is a tough cookie and will be very honest with her opinions. Thanks Ms. Williams!!!!❤️🙏🏾
I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to obtain counseling and growth tools from Ms. Williams. She has a kind spirit and knows how to get to the root of the problem. I originally came to Ms. Williams for marriage counseling/family counseling. However, her wealth of knowledge in areas has led me to work with her individually in my own self growth. Her advice and tools have made me become a better person overall and I have learned to take care of myself mentally and physically. My children have even had individual sessions with her and they enjoy it every time. She makes them very comfortable in discussing their thoughts and feelings. Ms. Williams has been a blessing to us and I definitely refer her services to other family and friends.
I was in a dark place after my divorce, and I wasn't able to get myself out of it. A family member suggested counseling and connected me with Ms. ChiQuitta Williams. She listened to me without judgement and provided a safe space to express my hurts and pains. As I continue my mental health journey to better me, she helps me put my life back in perspective by equipping me with coping mechanisms to live a Successful and Full Life.
What helped me out the most was that you have to start with yourself before you can move forward. It may sound simple but it's the truth.
Good sessions and much needed on my part
